Stevenson 88, Mundelein 67-No. 4 Stevenson buried Mundelein 31-3 in the second quarter then cruised to the North Suburban Conference victory.
Stevenson (18-1, 11-0) led 23-21 with 7 1/2 minutes to go before halftime then scored the next 29. Chris Coleman hit for 15 of his 21 points during that outburst.
”I thought it was a great performance in the first half,” Stevenson`s Ken Johnson said. ”We showed what kind of ballclub we have.”
Jason Justus added 14 points and Eric Roth 12 for Stevenson. Mundelien
(11-9, 5-6) got 18 points from Matt Brua and 16 from Thad Miller.
Bradley Bourbonnais 44, Crete-Monee 25-Crete-Monee, taking its time, scored the first four points of the game. Then Matt Burlend dropped a three-pointer, Chris Gandy added four points and No. 7 Bradley was on its way to the SICA South victory.
Bradley (19-1, 6-0) held Crete under 10 points for every quarter.
”Our defense is it,” Bradley coach Vern Sloan said. ”Last week we beat Rich Central with three-pointers. Tonight we won with defense.”
In the second quarter, Crete-Monee (8-11, 2-4) cut Bradley`s lead to 15-14 with three minutes to go on David Godfrey`s three pointer. Crete-Monee wouldn`t score again for eight minutes.
Burlend got 15 points in all. Gandy added 14 points and 10 boards.
Weber 65, St. Francis de Sales 60-Weber needed its rally shoes to stop St. Francis de Sales in the Catholic League North.
No. 17 Weber (17-3, 7-1) trailed 45-31 at halftime. But with Jevon Hobbs
(21 points) and Robert Olejnik (12 points, seven rebounds) leading the way, Weber tied it at 51 with 4:48 to play.
”We were lucky to get out of here tonight with a win,” Weber coach John Bonk said. ”That first quarter was pretty lackadaisical.”
With 3:09 left in the game, Weber trailed 57-55 but went on a five-point run to take command.

Kevin Geredine added 11 points with 12 rebounds for Weber. Jarobi Kemp led De Sales (13-8, 6-3) with 17 points and six rebounds.
Rich Central 68, Rich South 65-No. 14 Rich Central needed to turn up the heat on Rich South to escape in the SICA South.
Rich Central (19-3, 5-1) trailed 58-55 with 4:20 to go in the game when it began a 13-3 run, Shawn McGee (22 points) scoring six.
”We just turned it up defensively,” Central coach Ron Brauer said.
”Shawn kind of took control on offense.”
Cory Huddleston led Rich Central with 24 points. Matt Hawes added 10 points with 10 rebounds.
John Jones led Rich South (11-10, 2-4) with 19 points. Cordell Wise added 17 points.
