You`ve seen Marcus before. He`s the modest model in the Calvin Klein ads shown in the shower holding a pair of jeans where a pair of jeans should be held if a man is posing for a jeans ad nude in a shower.
Now you see ”Skrebneski`s Marcus,” the Chicago International Film Festival`s new poster that features every bit of Marcus, as well as his roommate, model Maureen Gallagher. The sliver we show, alas, is the just the extreme right-hand portion of the poster, which, by way of explanation, is the first-ever horizontal poster that Victor Skrebneski has photographed for the film festival since he started creating them in 1965.
What`s the rest of the poster like? Well, you know how T-shirts and the film fest`s logo have been used to, ah, maintain modesty in the past? Well, this time, there`s nothing between the photographer and his artistry.
