Christina Applegate isn`t a sleazy, dumb blond, but she plays one on television.
She carries that image by playing Kelly Bundy, the elder of two children in America`s raunchiest fictional family on Fox`s ”Married . . . With Children.”
Last summer, Applegate fleshed out a similar character in ”Don`t Tell Mom the Babysitter`s Dead,” a movie about a teenager who enters the work world posing as an adult.
But in reality, the 19-year-old is nothing like those on-screen roles. Neither does she share many traits with the big-screen characters she portrayed in ”Streets,” ”King Cobra,” ”Beatlemania” and ”Jonathon the Doll.”
Instead of being boy-crazy and school-dazed, Applegate loves reading, writing, poetry and listening to `60s music.
