If you picked A or B, a cellular telephone company would like a moment of your time.
Arlington Heights-based Motorola Inc. is touting the device as a life-enhancer based on results of a recent Gallup survey.
An overwhelming number of the 234 women questioned for the Motorola Cellular Impact Survey earlier this year said the phone has given them more flexibility, time and security and has improved their personal and business relationships. The women were among 650 cellular telephone users surveyed nationwide.
Among the survey`s findings is that 89 percent of the women reported feeling safer and more secure because of their cellular telephone. The phone came in handy for 29 percent of the respondents, who said they used it for roadside assistance.
Suprisingly, 71 percent of the female respondents said they`ve used the phone to call a loved one ”just to say hello,” which may explain another finding-that 60 percent believe using the phone has improved relationships with husbands.
