OK, so Eric Lindros, everyone`s next superstar, wants to play for the Blackhawks. Let`s not drop the puck on this one. What will it take for Mike Keenan, the Hawks coach and general manager, to acquire Quebec`s No. 1 selection in this year`s NHL amateur draft?

”Oh, boy, I can`t talk about that,” Keenan said. ”(NHL President) John Ziegler warned us not to be talk about trading for draft picks. It`s a sensitive issue right now. I haven`t even thought about picking up the phone and calling (Quebec GM) Pierre (Page) about it.”

Treat it as a joke, Mike, because it is. For example, would you give the Nordiques your entire Indianapolis farm team for Lindros? ”Yes, and I`d throw in the rights to the Indianapolis 500.”
