Big Dish

Scotland is a hotbed of new musical talent of late, with the Soup Dragons, Del Amitri and Deacon Blue, among others. Now add another name high on that list: the Big Dish. Like Del Amitri, the Big Dish`s musical influences are primarily American, and at least a half-dozen tunes are made for American album-rock radio. Stephen Lindsay`s crystalline lead vocals highlight such hook-filled songs as ”Miss America,” ”25 Years” and ”Big Town,” while funk grooves and horns propel ”State of the Union” and strings lift the ballad ”Learn to Love.”
