”There a lot of people who do care (about the environment) and do want to do something but just don`t have enough information,” says Greenhome founder MaryEllen Waghorn. ”People are so happy to have somebody to answer questions.”
More than 150 items are for sale, including household cleaners, recycling supplies, baby and personal care wares and recycyled-paper products. Also available: books to boost environmental savvy.
What are the company`s top-selling products? One is a low-flow shower head that conserves water. Another is an ecologically-minded alternative to disposable juice boxes-a pop-up canteen with a built-in straw.
