Craig Hodges did not make the trip to Milwaukee after hurting his ankle Tuesday night against Golden State.

”He came to me and said, `My leg hurts; I`m not going,` ” trainer Mark Pfeil said.

With a strained and bruised Achilles` tendon, Hodges is questionable for Friday`s key game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

”We put him on the bike, in the whirlpool and on ice,” Pfeil said. ”I would hope he will just be out tonight, but we`ll have to see. He was in pain, but the first day of a sprain or strain is always the worst.”

– Hodges` absence gave John Paxson his 10th start of the year. ”One year I get 64 starts, another I get 10; it`s all the same to me,” Paxson said.

”Pax plays similarly to Craig,” coach Doug Collins noted. ”He`s got that long range.”

– The Bucks` Paul Pressey, who chips in an average of 12.5 points a game, remains on the injured list after he sprained his ankle on March 21.

– The Bulls will host an Acura Legend Classic at 6:15 p.m. Friday before the game against the Cavaliers.

Johnny Kerr will coach one team and Bob Love the other. Kerr`s team includes Flynn Robinson, Mickey Johnson and Bob Boozer. Love`s team has George Wilson.
