”Kidsongs-A Day at the Circus” (Together Again Productions, 1987. Running time: 25 minutes. $19.95, less $5 rebate in package.)

This live-action tape of singing, prancing kids and bouncy circus acts is bound to please the hopelessly perky. And it may perk up normal kids whose usual TV diet is semi-animated cartoons.

”A Day at the Circus” has an old-fashioned feel to it. Like the other tapes in the nine-part (so far) Kidsong series, this one is reminiscent of the books today`s kids` parents read when they were young (wouldn`t it be neat to join the circus, be a fireman . . . you know the drill).

Don`t expect great singing-this isn`t the Paulist Choir-but the songs are tuneful, ranging from ”Polly-Wolly-Doodle” to a circus parade ditty sung to the tune of ”When the Caissons Go Rolling Along.” It will probably keep children up to age 8 or 9 humming along.

And, for kids who have merely heard the cliche, there`s a real dog-and-pony show.
