Cora Ann was born Nov. 14. She was hospitalized with a liver disorder when she was one week old, and her condition had been steadily deteriorating. On Monday, her condition worsened and her name was placed at the head of a national list of critically ill children awaiting donor livers.
The infant suffered from a disease known as tyrosenemia, in which the body is incapable of building amino acids.
