ABC hopes the back-to-back power of ”Who`s the Boss?” ”Growing Pains” and ”Moonlighting” will help revive ”Spenser: For Hire.” Starting Tuesday, ”Spenser” moves to ABC-Ch. 7`s 9 p.m. spot, originally occupied by ”Our Family Honor.” The popularity of ”Boss,” ”Pains” and ”Moonlighting”
didn`t help ”Honor” catch on, but maybe it will work for ”Spenser.”
(”Honor” is headed for ABC`s 9 p.m. Friday death spot, opposite CBS`
”Falcon Crest” and NBC`s ”Miami Vice.)
In Tuesday`s episode, Spenser learns that his girlfriend, Susan (played by Barbara Stock), is pregnant, and King Powers (Chuck Connors) puts a contract on his life. The series is based on Robert Parker`s books.
