An unknown man is approaching teenage girls around Park Ridge and physically touching them while impersonating a police officer, Park Ridge police said in a June 23 statement.
Police said two teen girls were close to the intersection of Touhy and Seminary Avenues June 14 about 11:45 p.m. when a male subject approached and began asking them questions about why they were out after curfew. The man offered to walk them home and grabbed the buttocks of one of the female complainants, police said.
A second incident with two different complainants took place just after midnight on June 23, police said. The complainants were near the intersection of Courtland Street and Albion Avenue when a subject matching the description of the offender and identifying himself as a police officer asked the same question about curfew and again grabbed the buttocks of one of the complainants, police said.
The man in question has been described as approximately 30 years old, 5’10?, 180 pounds, wearing a surgical face mask and a badge on a chain around his neck, according to the press release.
The Park Ridge Police Department requests that anyone with information about these incidents contact the department at 847-318-5305.
