A masked man who implied he had a gun robbed a PNC Bank branch in Elgin Tuesday afternoon, according to the FBI.

The suspect entered the 850 Summit St. business about 1:45 p.m. and presented an employee with a note in addition to verbally demanding money, an FBI news release said.

The man was described as being about 5-foot-10 or 5-foot-11 with a large build. He was wearing dark pants, a black T-shirt covering by a yellow construction vest, a black surgical mask, sunglasses and a plain black baseball hat with dreadlocks, the release said.
