Saveon Brown, Thornwood, senior, defensive back: 48 1/2 tackles, seven interceptions. Also played quarterback, throwing for 1,099 yards and 14 TDs and running for 569 yards and 10 TDs. Committed to Western Michigan.

Joshua Franklin, Crete-Monee, junior, defensive back: 13 1/2 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks. Also played quarterback, throwing for 2,165 yards and 23 TDs and running for 869 yards and nine TDs.

Tayo Idowu, Richards, senior, linebacker: 95 tackles, eight for loss, three sacks. All-state.

Kendrick Washington, Shepard, senior, return specialist: 361 yards and two TDs on kickoff returns. Also played running back, quarterback and defensive back. Scored 25 TDs. All-state.
