A 26-year-old man was fatally shot Friday afternoon in Sauk Village.

Tevin Watkins, of East Hazel Crest, was shot multiple times at about 1:34 p.m. in the 1700 block of 223rd Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his death was ruled a homicide.

Sauk Village police did not respond to multiple requests for comment on the slaying.
