Wednesday’s Chicago White Sox game against the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field was postponed because of inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Sept. 23. The first of the seven-inning games will start at 12:10 p.m. CT. Game 2 is scheduled for 5:10.

The Sox lost two of three in the shortened series. They have a 21/2-game lead over the second-place Indians in the American League Central.

Lance Lynn was scheduled to start Wednesday for the Sox on short rest.

The Sox begin a four-game series against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday at Guaranteed Rate Field. They will stay in rotation for the series with Lynn, Dallas Keuchel, Lucas Giolito and Carlos Rodón.
