Retired Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long placed his five-bedroom mansion in Lake Forest on the market last month for $2.65 million.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection during his seven-year career with the Bears, Long, 31, retired from football in January, after missing much of the 2019 season due to injuries.

Long paid $2.56 million in 2016 for his Lake Forest mansion. He first listed it on the region’s private listing network and found a buyer while it was still listed privately.

Listing agent Erica Goldman of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty placed the home on the public listing service July 17, with its status indicating the house was already under contract to sell. Goldman declined to comment.

Built in 1990, Long’s mansion is in east Lake Forest, has 61/2 bathrooms and clocks in at 6,238 square feet. The kitchen touts top-of-the-line appliances, while the home’s library has built-ins and one of four fireplaces in the home. A second-floor laundry room and a lower level with a theater and an exercise room are among the home’s features.

Outside, the 1.26-acre property has a pool and a spa, a heated three-car garage, and a heated circular driveway.
