A 21-year-old man found shot to death in the Albany Park neighborhood was identified Thursday.
Israel Aragon Jr., of the 4500 block of North Albany Avenue, was found early Wednesday by officers who were responding to a call of a person down. Aragon was found lying on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of North Albany Avenue about 4:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Aragon was pronounced dead at 5:16 a.m. at the scene. Aragon died from a gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office determined following an autopsy Thursday.
Police are investigating the shooting, and no one was in custody.
