Two people threw bricks into the windows of 15th Ward Ald. Raymond Lopez’s office Sunday night, according to Chicago police.

The incident occurred about 11:40 p.m. at the office, located at 2736 W. 47th St. in Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said. No arrests had been made Monday morning.

Lopez posted photos on the damages on his Twitter account.

“When you Mayor, refuse to call out the terror attacks on our communities, especially on their electeds, criminals only feel more emboldened to continue their reign,” he wrote. “Glass can be replaced, peace of mind and security cannot. Your silence is destroying this city!”

Lopez’s home had bricks thrown at it early July 9, and he blamed the attack on gangs who have targeted him in the past.

After Lopez’s house was attacked, Lightfoot said police officials were in contact with the alderman to make sure his security needs were addressed. In light of this new attack, Lightfoot said they are again in touch with him.

“We’re not going to tolerate anyone attacking elected officials and engaging in criminal conduct against them, period,” Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Monday morning.
