This is a little old, but did you know we were the butt of an April Fool’s joke at Hollywood Park? The track is close to Los Angeles International Airport’s runways, and a huge “Welcome to Chicago” banner was placed on the roof of the grandstand — making it visible for passengers on incoming flights. The FAA was not amused as it rejected numerous requests from TV stations to photograph the sign from helicopters.
