Oswego Village Board members have taken another step as part of the process to switch to Lake Michigan water for the village's future drinking water supply.

The Oswego Village Board recently appointed its first high school student representatives to the Historic Preservation Commission and Cultural Arts Commission.

The proposal is to bring in 27 electric buses to replace some older diesel models.

"These agreements mark a significant step forward for the village of Oswego to connect with a sustainable water source," Oswego Village President Ryan Kauffman said.
