<p>While on a commercial excavation trip in South Dakota during August 1999, Sue Hendrickson, a fossil collector, discovered several vertebrae of what appeared to be a larger-than-life dinosaur. A little more digging uncovered the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton known to science.
