Though the Rangers have been an obvious exception, the Orioles have shown they can compete with just about anyone, and have a nice collection of series victories to prove it. The way they were playing against the Blue Jays, Sunday's rainout couldn't have come at a worse time, but it did give manager Buck Showalter some more wiggle room with his pitching staff. Of course, the road is always tougher ahead at this point in the season, especially when the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox are in town for a four-game series.
