The convertible Camaro comes with either a V-6 or V-8 engine. My test car had the 312-horsepower V-6 with a six-speed automatic transmission. That's a lot of power for a V-6. It has strong pull as you hammer the gas pedal, and the exhaust note's subtle rumble makes it feel like you're driving a proper muscle car, even if it is down two cylinders from the Camaro SS.
An all-wheel-drive system puts the twin-turbo V-6 engine's 530 horsepower to the pavement superbly. Teamed with an independent rear suspension and the grip of 20-inch high-performance summer tires, the all-wheel drive made cornering at the limits mere child's play. There's no highway off-ramp this cart can't take like a racetrack carousel (absent other traffic, of course).
A heated steering wheel, automatic panoramic sunroof and backup camera are available features and priced well within reach. There's also the option of heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats and driver's seat memory.

Cars.com emphasizes fuel economy, but shoppers shouldn't view mileage ratings casually. The advertising of EPA estimates is tightly regulated, but nothing stops manufacturers from pitching their most efficient model and posting an asterisk next to it. You might find that the most efficient model is the least desirable, the least available, is limited to a particular transmission type or requires a higher trim level or option packages at higher prices. Times have changed, and the most affordable version isn't necessarily the most efficient.

Cars.com, USA Today and public broadcasting's "MotorWeek" put six new minivans to the test in Atlanta over three days, including 175 miles of highway travel, round-robin expert driving and one day with a suburban Atlanta family. The biggest surprise was not the minivans' space and utility, but their power and fuel efficiency.
