Bridgeview

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Alen Dzananovic, 34, 9200 block of Thomas Avenue, was arrested Sept. 11 in that block and subsequently charged with aggravated battery and aggravated resisting arrest after being accused of punching an officer in the face and biting a second officer’s arm, police said. The first officer unsuccessfully attempted to subdue Dzananovic four times with a stun gun during the arrest, police said.

Burbank

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Kyle Spradlein, 33, 6200 block of 84th Street, Burbank, was arrested Aug. 30 in that block and subsequently charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and obstruction after embracing an officer attempting to handcuff him, police said.

Crete

SLOTS ROBBERY: Four masked individuals entered a 24-hour fuel/convenience/car wash store at Illinois Route 394 and Steger Road at about 3:10 a.m. Sept. 16 and used sledge hammers and pry bars to break into a video gambling machine, police said in a social media post. Responding officers pursued them thorough several towns, ending the pursuit due to public safety concerns, police said.

Evergreen Park

ANIMAL CRUELTY: Otto R. Gonzalez Jr., 51, 9300 block of Turner Avenue, Evergreen Park, was cited Sept. 1 in that block for failing to provide adequate shelter for an animal after an officer found a dog tethered to a post in the garage without fans or water despite an exterior temperature of 93 degrees Fahrenheit that felt like 104 degrees, police said.

Lansing

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Jose R. Gonzalez, 18, 2900 block of 193rd Street, Lansing, was arrested June 24 in that block and accused of aggravated domestic battery/strangulation, unlawful restraint and interfering with an emergency communication of serious injury, police said.

Monee

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Xavier J. Lee, 25, 25800 block of Sunrise Court, Monee, was arraigned Aug. 24, charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest, according to court records online. The two-count charge stems from a disturbance in the 6000 block of Monee-Manhattan Road, police said.

New Lenox

DRUG THEFT: Jada S. Stewart, 39, 200 block of Grant Street, Park Forest, is scheduled to return to Will County court Nov. 17, charged with possessing a controlled substance and theft, according to police and court records online. Stewart took 600 tranquilizer pills May 29 while working as a pharmacy employee, police said.

FELONY THEFT: James A. Ballantine, 56, 400 block of Burke Drive, Joliet, was arraigned in Will County court Aug. 20, charged with felony theft/$500+ and misdemeanor theft, according to court records online. Ballantine, managing a pizza restaurant in the 500 block of West Lincoln Highway, took $7,967 between Feb. 18 and July 10, police said.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Eric S. Terrell, 43, 14400 block of Stately Oakes Circle, Homer Glen, is scheduled to be arraigned in Will County court Sept. 17, charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest, according to court records online. Terrell spat on an officer Aug. 8 in the 300 block of West Maple Street after throwing a drink on the officer, police said.

Oak Lawn

ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN: Officers investigating an attempted residential burglary early Aug. 17 in the 9800 block of Minnick Avenue determined the back door window was broken but found no sign of an intruder, according to a police report released Sept. 15. Officers were responding to a house sitter who discovered the damage while checking on loud banging in the home’s rear, police said.

MISSING JEWELRY: An individual known to a pre-surgery patient at Advocate Christ Medical Center Aug. 18 disappeared with her three diamond rings after saying he would hold them for her, according to a police report released Sept. 16.

NAKED HIKER: A resident reported seeing a naked man Aug. 12 on the Wolfe Wildlife trail, police said.

SLOTS BURGLARY: Three masked and gloved individuals entered Wing Snob, 6762 W. 95th St., May 11 through the front window one of them smashed with a sledge hammer and then broke into two of the six video slot machines, according to a police report released Sept. 21.

Orland Park

DUI CRASH: Luis A. Hernandez, 46, 15200 block of Hiawatha Trail, Orland Park, was arrested July 31 and subsequently charged with drunken driving during a two-vehicle crash investigation at West Avenue and Fun Drive, police said.

DUI CRASH: Antonio Martino, 54, 11000 block of 168th Street, Orland Park, was arrested Aug. 16 and subsequently charged with drunken driving and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision during a car versus guard rail crash investigation, police said.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: A Michigan City, Indiana, man shot Sept. 15 at a gas station in the 15100 block of Harlem Avenue has been charged with attempted armed robbery, possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon/no gun permit, police said in a Sept. 16 release. Christopher Brown, 20, was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he was admitted for treatment of a gunshot wound to the cheek, police said.

Palos Heights

DUI CRASH: Nathalia Bustos, 20, Berwyn, was arrested Sept. 13 and subsequently charged with drunken driving and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision after officers found her disabled vehicle, two damaged parked vehicles and a stop sign in the 13400 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

DUI SPEEDING: Jonathan Pinon, 20, 8700 block of 50th Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested Sept. 13 in the 12300 block of Harlem Avenue and charged with aggravated speeding/35+ mph and drunken driving after an officer observed him traveling 81 mph in a 35 mph zone and determined he was intoxicated, police said.

BETTING THEFT: Michael A. Herrera, 24, 10100 block of 86th Court, Palos Hills, was arrested Sept. 14 and subsequently charged with felony theft and unlawful use of an account number with the intent to defraud in connection with the July 8 discovery that he’d used his employer’s business card to make 23 bets totaling more than $6,000 on sports events, police said.

Palos Hills

RUSE BURGLARY: A man wearing construction-style clothing gained entry Sept. 12 in the 9700 block of Pemberly Court and kept the resident distracted, enabling others to enter and ransack the home, police said. The resident subsequently discovered money and jewelry missing, police said.

Peotone

AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Brandon C. Roberts, 36, 7500 block of 162nd Street, Tinley Park, was arrested Sept. 19 and subsequently charged with aggravated domestic battery/strangulation and aggravated battery/public place in a parked car in the 1200 block of Wilmington Road, Will County sheriff’s police said.
