21-year-old man shot and killed in South Holland

The following homicides were reported in the past week by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Aminu Oloye Midehabib Jr., 21, was shot and killed Sept. 6, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Midehabib was shot on the 17200 block of Louis Avenue in South Holland, where he lived. He was taken to a hospital, but pronounced dead at 2:37 a.m. Sept. 6, according to the medical examiner’s office.

His cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound to his left arm into his torso by the medical examiner’s office.

The South Holland Police Department did not respond to a request for comment.
