PUBLIC INDECENCY: Marcus J. Garza, 25, 7200 block of West 85th Street, Bridgeview, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview Sept. 10, charged with four counts of public indecency in connection with exposing himself to an 8-year-old child while walking in the 8000 block of Oketo Avenue July 19, police said.
Burbank
ROBBERY: Ivan Ramirez, 47, first block of Black Walnut Trail, Palos Park, was arrested July 14 and charged with robbery after officers recovered a power drill and cellphone taken July 13 from another person, police said.
RESTAURANT BURGLARY: Security video at Paradise Pizza, 5740 W. 87th St., shows five masked men failing to break in early July 27, police said. But at nearly the same time three men smashed through the glass front door of China Chef, 5904 W. 87th St., taking $300 and then leading officers on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle they abandoned near 99th Street and Genoa Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Jeremeica G. May, 21, and Heaven D. Washington, 20, both of Champaign, were arrested Aug. 18 at Kohl’s, 9700 Ridgeland Ave., and subsequently charged with felony retail theft after taking merchandise selling for $1,507.45, police said. May was also charged with resisting arrest, police said.
Crete
GAMBLING BURGLARY: Five masked males used sledge hammers Aug. 17 during morning rush hour to smash video slot machines at the BP Gas station, 23802 Volbrecht Road, disregarding the presence of employees and customers, police said. Officers are investigating the 5-minute heist as an aggravated robbery because a witness reported one of the males appeared to have a concealed firearm and because people were present, police said.
IMPERSONATION CHARGED: Todd A. Sherman, 53, 500 block of Meadow Lane, Beecher, is charged with impersonating a firefighter and an emergency worker on May 25 and aggravated speeding/35+ mph June 23, according to court records online. Sherman, who also lists a Mokena address, used green, red and white digital emergency lights on his personal vehicle while driving to a fire in Crete while wearing a firefighter-style bunker jacket and identifying himself as a firefighter to the village’s emergency management director about one month before again using the lights while driving 36 mph over the speed limit on Illinois Route 394, police said.

THEFT: Officers investigating a resident’s Aug. 9 complaint that her Link account was tapped for a $509.76 on Aug. 7 at a warehouse club determined that amount covered the cost of 12 cases of energy drinks purchased at the club, police said.
ROBBERY: A man with a knapsack entered Black Eyed Susan OTB, 2517 W. 95th St., at 9:42 a.m. Aug. 12, quietly forced an employee to open the door to an office where more than $40,000 was being readied for bank deposit, police said. The man removed the cash from atop a desk and from inside an open safe, placed it in the knapsack and walked past customers and out the door, police said.

GAMBLING BURGLARY: Four males exited Dotty’s, 14041 S. Bell Road, early Aug. 17 through the smashed glass front door with three cash boxes from six damaged video slot machines, Will County sheriff’s police said.
BATTERY CHARGED: Kimberly E. Veron, 70, 13600 block of Murvey Court, Orland Park, appeared in Will County court Aug. 18, charged with battery, according to court information online. Veron pushed her shopping cart into a woman wearing a sweatshirt with a political message July 19 at a grocery store in the 14200 block of Greystone Avenue, Will County sheriff’s police said.
New Lenox
ER BATTERY: An emergency room patient hit a health care provider in the head July 22 at Silver Cross Hospital but couldn’t immediately be taken into custody because of requiring ongoing medical care, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Stevens Eliacin, 41, 4700 block of W. 186th Place, Country Club Hills, was arrested July 22 and subsequently charged with retail theft after taking merchandise selling for $2,885 from Lowe’s, 2480 E. Lincoln Highway, police said.
Oak Lawn
IDENTITY THEFT: An Oak Lawn towing company owner has been charged with identity theft over $100,000, police said. Saif Abdul Musleh, 40, 9000 block of Parkside Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested July 3 after using an employee’s Social Security and driver’s license information without permission to purchase a $90,950 vehicle from a company in New Jersey as well as apply for credit from companies in Illinois and Atlanta for his Trust Towing company, police said.
AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Sultan S. Musaed, 26, 6100 block of 94th Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested July 6 at Southwest Highway and 51st Avenue and subsequently charged with aggravated speeding/35+ mph after he was clocked driving 67 mph in a 30-mph zone, police said.
Orland Park
BANK FRAUD: Kenneth H. Clay, 38, Chicago, was arrested July 8 and subsequently charged with bank fraud/possession of checks belonging to other people and unlawful possession of a credit/debit card with intent to defraud after officers recovered six checks belonging to different people and a seventh person’s credit card during a stop in the first block of Orland Square Drive, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Stevens Eliacin, 41, 4700 186th Place, Country Club Hills, appeared in Cook County court at Bridgeview Aug. 11, charged with felony retail theft in connection with taking tools selling for $805 on July 12 from Lowes, 15601 LaGrange Road, police said.
Palos Heights
GUN POSSESSION: Dionta Bratcher, 32, Chicago, was arrested Aug. 18 and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon after an officer recovered a loaded handgun in the vehicle during a stop in the 11900 block of Harlem Avenue, police said.
Park Forest
HIT-RUN: Nicole G. Beamon, 31, 14200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Dolton, was arrested Aug. 4 and charged with hit-and-run and failing to yield the right of way in connection with an Aug. 3 two-vehicle crash investigation in the 400 block of Sauk Trail, police said.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Trenton J. Williams, 29, 3400 block of Western Avenue, Park Forest, was arrested Aug. 9 in that block and charged with aggravated assault after threatening another person with a knife, police said.
Posen
STOLEN CAR: Jose Gudino, 23, Blue Island, was arrested Aug. 18 in Posen and charged with possessing a stolen motor vehicle and aggravated fleeing after a multijurisdictional pursuit, Illinois State Police said. The charge stems from the May 26 theft of a vehicle from a car carrier at the Southland Lincoln Oasis on Interstate 80/294 in South Holland, police said.

THEFT: An air conditioner valued at $3,000 was reported stolen Aug. 15 from a church in the 500 block of East Sauk Trail, police said.
University Park
GUN POSSESSION: Xavier M. Ledet, 27, 14100 block of Saginaw Avenue, Burnham, was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after deputies recovered a loaded handgun during a July 27 stop at Western Avenue and Loves Lane in unincorporated Will County near University Park, sheriff’s police said.
