The scheduled postgame concert featuring Ja Rule on Friday night at Rate Field was canceled because of “unexpected travel issues,” the Chicago White Sox announced.
“Unfortunately, the organization was just made aware that due to unexpected travel issues, Ja Rule is unable to make tonight’s scheduled postgame performance,” the Sox said as part of a statement posted on the center-field scoreboard in the ninth inning of Friday’s 8-2 loss to the Cleveland Guardians.
Fans with tickets to Friday’s game will receive complimentary tickets for a future game, and all field passes would be refunded, the Sox said.
“An email with more information will be sent to ticket holders in the next 72 hours,” the club said.
