Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Warren basketball star Jaxson Davis announced Friday that he will attend a prep school in Kansas for his senior year.

Davis, a 6-foot-1 guard who was voted Mr. Basketball of Illinois after each of the past two seasons, revealed his decision on Instagram.

“It is with great excitement, yet mixed emotions, that I announce my commitment to spend my senior year at Monarch Academy,” Davis wrote. “My goal has always been to challenge myself, continue growing and become the best player I can be, and after careful consideration, I believe the opportunity to compete on the EYBL circuit will provide the highest level of competition and best prepare me for the transition from high school basketball to the high-major collegiate level.”

A four-star prospect widely considered the best player in his class in Illinois, Davis averaged 23.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 3.5 steals for the Blue Devils last season after leading them to the Class 4A state championship game in 2025. His list of offers includes Illinois, Kentucky and Michigan.
