7. Yorkville 7-4 (7): Jackson Knickerbocker comes though by throwing a complete-game shutout for the Foxes in a 2-0 win over Morris.

8. South Elgin 7-4 (9): Freshman right-hander Trenton Nichols works five scoreless with four strikeouts for his first varsity win over Ridgewood.

9. Bartlett 8-5 (NR): Freshman infielder Mason Leiterman goes 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs in a 12-2 victory over Fenton.

10. Oswego East 7-5 (10): Andrew Schmidt throws a five-inning no-hitter in leading the Wolves to an 11-0 win over Joliet Central.

Player of the Week

Bartlett’s Vince Yario is heating up at the plate on the mound, picking up a win with four scoreless innings against Streamwood and then going 9-for-12 in four games at the plate with three doubles, two homers and 10 RBIs.
